The Bowes family, a simple story of everyday folk.

              Let me introduce you to my sims, the Bowes family

his daughter - Fleur

The father - Terry Bowes

Mr. Bowes is confident and a bit of a snob.  Fleur is very creative and she has a certain allure.

Terry raised Fleur on his own after his wife left them when they moved to Del Sol Valley where she always seemed to be unwell. He had big dreams of becoming a top lawyer to the rich and famous. Unfortunately on his initial salary he could only afford a tiny, ugly box of a property in the poorer end of town. Property has always been so expensive in the whole area. Perhaps Fleur's mother left them as she couldn't stand the house or the neighbourhood or perhaps it was the long hours he had to work to get anywhere in his career leaving her completely alone with a small child. Perhaps her ill health and unhappiness were caused by the unceasing roar of aircraft overhead, for the house was directly under the flight path from the airport near by. Anyway, Terry and Fleur only had each other in this new stage of their lives.

Fleur had to grow up very fast. Desperate to please her remaining parent she became 'housekeeper' as much as daughter and was left to her own devices most of the time. She would cook and clean and garden to keep them fed and their home as nice as possible, just hoping to win a little praise or at least some attention. Occasionally she even had to learn to repair objects around the house as there was no spare cash for a workman. Despite all this she managed to keep up with her school work. To amuse herself at the weekends in what spare time she had, she became very good at painting. Fleur even had a little children's book published which gave her a small income and so a little independence.  Probably due to her mother leaving and being on her own so much Fleur craved love, she was a bit of a daddy's girl but also desperate to find a soul mate to spend the rest of her life with.

We join them when Fleur, now a young adult, starts at university. Her school grades and interests meant she attained several scholarships and was accepted onto an Honors degree in Art History at Britechester university.
